Taking Care Of Poodle Puppies

By Ryan Peterson

Poodle is agreeably on the list of cutest dogs there is and they could also be so adorable that its almost hard for them to resist. They are like stuffed bears and they are so cuddly that way. And when you look at them, its almost normal to fall in love right away with their cuteness. That should be the reason why there happens to be more standard poodle breeder nowadays.

Typically, these kinds of dogs are highly energetic and is very much willing to learn. Though, they can be anxious and scared at first, they do adapt quickly so long as they are exposed with tenderness and enough attention. They easily learn to love their owners at a short span of time.

However, you should know that taking care of them is not mostly the same like the other pups out there. Yes, it is easy to have them taken care of since they normally are smart and easy to control but it does not mean you do not have to make efforts. You have to remember their needs like foods that are of high quality, regular grooming, their need of exercise as well as training.

When you say food, you just could not give them anything since they are highly sensitive to that. They could not eat something with corn, wheat and soy in it because that surely would trigger some conditions they are prone of having such as skin irritation and bloat. You have to be very careful with the quality of food you choose for them.

It also is essential to feed them something that has carbohydrates in it so they have enough energy. In addition to that, try as much as possible to avoid products that contains wheat, corn as well as soy. This will trigger some conditions like bloat and skin irritation, these kinds of pups are highly prone to that.

Potty training is also necessary if you want to keep yourself out of trouble every single time. You have one less thing to worry though, poodles are smart, they can get use to this easily. All you need for their training is leash and consistency of doing same routine until they get used to it and they could do it on their own.

Basically, all you have to do is bring them in one same spot outside everyday so they could remember which way to go when they need to pee or if they want to poop. You might want to do this every morning, once in the afternoon, right after they have eaten and right before they go to sleep.

Grooming is quite constant with these pups since their hair really are hard to maintain. It gets tangled way easily and it grows fast. It can then cover their eyes, nose and mouth in no time so its necessary to have it well taken care of. You also have to make sure that you do not forget to brush them every day to keep their fur from getting in tangled.

Aside from that, their ears would need cleaning too at least once every week. If you can afford to do so, then sending them regularly to professional groomer is a good idea. They would take care of the clippings, toenail care and so on. Do not forget to also provide them with toys for their exercise.
